Reaksi transesterifikasi multitahap ini mengubah hampir 100% trigliserida dalam minyak atau lemak menjadi biodiesel (metil ester). Metil ester kemudian dipisahkan untuk menghilangkan air dan metanol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Langkah terakhir adalah mendinginkan dan menyaring metil ester untuk menghilangkan kotoran yang terbentuk pada suhu rendah.
