De meerstaps transesterificatiereactie zet bijna 100% van de triglyceriden in de olie of het vet om in biodiesel (methylester). De methylester wordt vervolgens gestript om het water en de methanol te verwijderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De laatste stap is het koelen en filteren van de methylester om onzuiverheden te verwijderen die zich vormen bij lage temperaturen.
