Ground Breaking – Double capacity for CPM Ruiya Extrusion

CPM Extrusion Group is excited to announce that we will double our capacity in China with an ambitious new plant for our Nanjing-based subsidiary Ruiya Extrusion. The new 160,000 square foot plant and office complex will have a production capacity of 500 extrusion lines per year and will be finished already March 2019. “Currently our capacity is strained, with this new plant we can double our output which is one of our ambitious goals within our worldwide extrusion group” commented Robert Urtel, president of CPM Extrusion Group. “Besides this fact we focus on knowledge and the transfer of knowhow to our customers, that’s also one of the reasons why the factory is based is a high-tech factory zone” says Urtel. No doubt Nanjing is the hub of compounding and extrusion manufacturers in China. Here CPM Ruiya Extrusion is the benchmark in the Chinese market” adds Charles Spearing, Charles Spearing, general manager of global twin-screw operations.

“Due to our growth: sales jumped 40 percent to 247 machines for the fiscal year ending Sept. 30, 2017, and are expected to reach 265 machines this fiscal year, this investment is coming at the right moment for our extrusion group” says Spearing. Ruiya’s key markets are currently India and Southeast Asia. Our vision is to grow with our extrusion group further in India and therefore we very much support the manufacturing here in China. For our applications we mostly focus on compounders and recycling.

“What we see in the market now is that a lot of our multinational customers relying on us in the States, are buying machinery from Ruiya for their factories in China. We work very hard to make our slogan ‘Local Service Global Reach’ live in our group and to give our customers a top-quality extrusion machine in China” comments Spearing.

CPM Extrusion Group consists now of three facilities worldwide: Century Extrusion in USA, Ruiya Extrusion in China and Extricom Extrusion in Germany. Extricom Extrusion which was bought last year, an extrusion company specialized in the manufacturing of premium 12- screw machines for niche applications such as high-performance tires and PET bottle recycling, has already built its first twin-screw machine this year.
