Hull grinding is all about breaking down the tough outer shells of seeds and grains. We use powerful machines like hammermills to grind these hulls into smaller pieces. Why? Grinding separates the nutritious inner parts (kernels) from the outer shell, making them easier to use in other processes, like turning them into animal feed pellets. Grinding also makes everything finer, which helps in later steps. The leftover ground hulls themselves have many uses too, from becoming part of animal feed to being used as fuel or even ingredients in industrial products.

Hull Grinding
A complete solution for breaking down hulls while minimizing kernel damage.
CPM provides the most flexible and efficient hull grinding solution for seeds & grains
Take taste and texture to the next level. Hull grinding isn’t just about separating the good from the not-so-good. It also sets the stage for creating a delicious and high-quality final product. By removing hulls, we achieve a smoother texture and unlock the full potential of the nutritious kernel inside. This is typically achieved through mechanical means using the selected equipment:
High-speed rotating hammers pulverize the feed material against a screen, breaking down the hulls into smaller particles.
Seeds or grains are crushed and ground between two rollers, resulting in finely ground hulls.
