Features

Rugged, robust, and ready to work

It all starts with a heavy-duty base manufactured from carbon steel and a high-density frame designed to maximize alignment and energy efficiency while minimizing noise and vibration. More mass equals fewer vibrations, which means your hammermill remains in balance and delivers more uptime. The HM Series’ grinding chamber is full of features that maximize efficiency and durability, including an air-swept design and regrind chamber that prevents material from rotating within the grinding chamber. One-piece, full access doors pivot out of the way during service. What this adds up to is easy installation, simple maintenance, and optimum performance for the long life of your hammermill.

Features

More power for your investment

What else do you look for in a hammermill? HM Series Hammermills are capable of fine grinding either friable or fibrous materials, and come standard with:

  • Coarse and fine hammer positions
  • Bearing temperature probes for safety and efficiency
  • Bidirectional rotor that increases hammer and screen life
  • State-of-the-art trapped key interlock systems
  • Fully adjustable vibration safety switches
  • Laser-cut hammers hard-faced with rugged tungsten carbide

Features

Choose a finer grind

If you’re working in aquaculture, ethanol, or another application that requires a finer grind, our optional fine grind package can get you there. It includes:

  • Fine grind inserts with replaceable impact plates
  • A center-hinged screen carriage with roller chain take-up
  • Extra thick, ¾” teardrop wear liners
  • Backing screens
  • A 12-pin “all fine” rotor

With our fine grind inserts, you get increased grinding surface area. The roller chain take-up on the outside edges of the screen carriage works in conjunction with the extra-thick wear liners to create a better seal. This prevents unwanted coarse particles from escaping the grinding chamber. Plus, the 12-pin rotor gives you pattern flexibility for customization. All of this combines to deliver a finer grind at greater efficiency.

Features

Higher output, lower costs

Your HM Series Hammermill is engineered for maximum efficiency and a long life. While the bidirectional rotor assures even wear, the feed inlet runs the entire length of the grinding chamber, so you get even feeding and efficient operation in either rotational direction. Inside the grinding chamber, wear liners are easily replaceable to extend the life of the housing. Along with the bidirectional flow director, they’re fabricated from abrasion-resistant plate steel for heavy-duty wear. We’ve designed all of these features to work smarter and harder, so your hammermill meets your production goals for lower operating costs. That’s why when it comes to your equipment from CPM, you can count on knowing that it just runs.
