Analyzing Abrasive Wear

This webinar focuses on abrasive wear in twin-screw extruder compounding applications by analyzing where the wear is occurring. Abrasive wear manifests itself differently depending on which part of the screw/barrel is affected (e.g. feed section, melting/mixing sections, die pumping section). In each of these cases, the results of wear are described in terms of how extruder wear affects product quality and/or productivity. Every compounding machine operator and plant engineer should know how to recognize the symptoms of abrasive wear!
