CPM IDAH Carousel Dryer: Reliable and Easy Moisture Control

In a carousel dryer, your product moves downward in a typical rotating movement while drying air is sucked upward, thus forming a cross-counter-flow interaction. Every deck consists of numerous perforated screen trays which tip at a fixed position so the product can slide down onto the subjacent deck while generating mixing action. The carousel dryer enables you to have the product with uniform moisture. The round-shaped rotating track helps generate a homogeneous airflow inside the dryer, allowing uniform product treatment with tight moisture tolerance. The Easy Moisture Control system enables the user to quickly adjust the inlet and outlet temperature and drying air volume for excellent dryer operation. Carousel dryer features: 1. Carousel drying process guarantees moisture uniformity (+/-0.5%). 2. Easy Moisture Control can precisely achieve target moisture. 3. FIFO system enables quick changeover. 4. Low exhaust temperature and volume indicating efficient energy transfer. 5. Small footprint for old dryer upgrade project (9 sqm.). A single direct electric motor drives the main shaft which keeps the drying tray rotating, helps to keep maintenance to a minimum. The shaft-mounted gear motor is equipped with an inverter for adjusting the drying tray rotating speed. Steam, hot water or gas-burner heat exchanger with inspection door for ease of maintenance and cleaning.
