Introduction to the RingExtruder

This webinar will introduce the Ring Extruder RE, utilizing twelve co-rotating and intermeshing screws arranged around a central core. This novel geometry provides some advantages compared to traditional twin-screw extruders in terms of residence time, devolatilization efficiency and free volume. The webinar will describe the dispersive and distributive mixing characteristics as well as side feeding and degassing techniques. Commercial applications that take advantage of the unique processing capabilities of the Ring Extruder will be introduced.
