Screw Design Optimization: Mixing

Optimizing the mixing part of the screw configuration for improved dispersion of particulate fillers (e.g. talc, mineral, CaCO3, etc.) or improved distribution of glass fiber is analyzed in this webinar. Which type of kneading/mixing element, how many and where are they located are all part of the optimization process. Example screw designs for dispersive and distributive mixing will be used to illustrate the challenges involved.
